I feel that I should let everyone reading this know my own bias support this film. I found twenty-eight films from Clint Eastwood's directing and the like, most of them, and love a large number of them (Stone Valuation my average of 28 films is 7.9). However, he felt something out of Gran Torino based on the trailer. I read it as Eastwood is trying to be a badass again trying to be Dirty Harry again. Gran Torino is not it. Walt Kowalski may have similarities with Dirty Harry, and it can be regarded as a substantial earlier version of Harry (foot), but it is special special, memorable characters of their own, and Id go as far as to say that one of the best performances of his Eastwoods, and one of which gives him an opportunity to introduce dramatic chops.Im and their humor does not mean that Gran Torino is a perfect action supporting role. It is not. In fact, some of them are very bad time, but the film works in spite of its shortcomings. The script is already written with Eastwood in mind (I'm not sure about the behind the scenes information about this) and it shows. Kowalski perfect shot. The film is surprisingly funny, something is not quite good in the ad. Absolutely hilarious moment of it (as Kowalski is trying to be one of his Discussion by teaching how to talk to men) , and Eastwood handles changes in tone perfectly. When the film turns dark towards the end I sat on the edge of your seat in suspense, fully aware, where the rate is still mesmerizing tour-de Eastwoods direction -forces.
